My final reading of 2015 is introduced to you by Cute Rodent Friend!

Burne Hogarth “Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery: Solutions for Drawing the Clothed Figure” [USA]
Rachel Ballon “Breathing Life into Your Characters” [USA?]
Fuyumi Soryo “Mars. Vol. 4” [Japan]
Fuyumi Soryo “Mars. Vol. 5” [Japan]
Fuyumi Soryo “Mars. Vol. 6” [Japan]
Fuyumi Soryo “Mars. Vol. 7” [Japan]
武内 直子 『美少女戦士セーラームーン』 vol. 9 (Naoko Takeuchi “Sailor Moon” vol. 9) [Japan]
Sayuri Ueda “The Cage of Zeus” (ゼウスの檻) [Japan]
Fuyumi Soryo “Mars. Vol. 8” [Japan]
Fuyumi Soryo “Mars. Vol. 9” [Japan]
Mauri Leivo “Maa nimeltä Nuuksio” (The land called Nuuksio) [Finland]
G. Willow Wilson “Ms. Marvel, Vol. 3: Crushed” [USA]

Short stuff:
To the Moon, Too! - a cute comic continuing the story of To the Moon game.
Mary Robinette Kowal “The Lady Astronaut of Mars” [USA] – a poignant novelette about a Mars colonist who is still craving to see space. Will she get one more chance to fly?
Ruthanna Emrys “The Deepest Rift” [USA] - a science fiction story about a team studying flying mantas on a distant planet, with a deaf protagonist. One of my favourite short stories read this year! I mean, mantas! On an alien planet!! Doing weird manta stuff!

Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery
“Understanding how the body moves is the key to rendering clothing, as world-renowned artist Hogarth demonstrates in this unique book.”

I love drawing folds of clothing so it was fun to look at SO MANY pictures of all kinds of folds and wrinkles.

Breathing Life into Your Characters
“Psychotherapist Rachel Ballon teaches the reader how to use the principles of psychology to understand their characters better. Through a mix of instruction, examples, and writing and visualization exercises, readers learn how to tap into their own stories and emotions to create realistic, complex characters.”

A nice book but somehow it didn't seem that thorough or detailed for me.

Mars
Almost finished the series last year. Sooo goooooood.

Sorry for the blurriness ^^;

Sailor Moon vol. 9
Another manga series almost done. :T

Crystal Tokyo is pretty : 3

Haruka, you...

How dare you....

*nostalgic sobbing*
It's that song!

The Cage of Zeus
“The “rounds” are humans with the sex organs of both genders. Artificially created to test the limits of the human body in space, they are now a minority, despised and hunted by the terrorist group Vessel of Life. Aboard Zeus I, a space station orbiting the planet Jupiter, the “rounds” have created their own society with a radically different view of gender and of life itself. Security chief Shirosaki keeps the peace between the “rounds” and the typically gendered “mono,” but when a terrorist strike hits the station, the balance of power and tolerance is at risk, and an entire people is targeted for genocide.”

I liked the concept of Rounds, people who were physically both male and female. If gender and sexuality are interesting for you, you might like this book. However, this science fiction novel is mostly slow-paced and with a lot of infodumps.

Maa nimeltä Nuuksio
A beautiful photo book about Nuuksio! Lots of cool info in it.

I've posted many photos of Nuuksio here.

I love visiting Nuuksio : 3

Ms. Marvel, vol. 3: Crushed
“Love is in the air in Jersey City as Valentine’s Day arrives! Kamala Khan may not be allowed to go to the school dance, but Ms. Marvel is! Well sort of--by crashing it in an attempt to capture Asgard’s most annoying trickster! Yup, it’s a special Valentine’s Day story featuring Marvel’s favorite charlatan, Loki! And when a mysterious stranger arrives in Jersey City, Ms. Marvel must deal with...a crush! Because this new kid is really, really cute. What are these feelings, Kamala Khan? Prepare for drama! Intrigue! Romance! Suspense! Punching things! All this and more! The fan-favorite, critically acclaimed, amazing new series continues as Kamala Khan proves why she’s the best (and most adorable) new super hero there is! Plus, see what happens when S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Jemma Simmons goes undercover at Kamala’s school!”

I ADORE THIS COMIC

You're right, Kamala!
